Student Trustee (Voluntary Role)

Would you like to become a Director of a multi-million pound charity, helping us to make big decisions about the future of the Guild of Students?

The Guild is looking for a Student of the University of Birmingham to join our Trustee Board.

Our charity Trustee Board is ultimately responsible for making the big decisions about the running of the Guild. The Board is comprised of 18 people including Guild Officers, University representatives, industry professionals and fellow students – all of whom bring different types of experience and expertise to the role. The Student Trustee roles are:

  1. International Student Trustee (Open for applications)
  2. Undergraduate Student Trustee
  3. Postgraduate Student Trustee
  4. BAME Student Trustee

It is an exciting time for the Guild as we progress with our 2022-2027 strategic plan and continue to deliver excellent services for our students. A strong and active Trustee Board is essential to support and guide the organisation’s work.

The Guild welcomes applications from a wide range of backgrounds and in particular we welcome applications from people of colour as we seek to continually increase diversity within our governance structures.

This role is not remunerated; however reasonable expenses (travel etc) will be reimbursed. Please note, if you are a paid member of Guild Student Staff you are not eligible to apply for this role.
