Student Staff – Senior Reception Assistant

To apply for this role you must currently be a Reception Assistant with the Guild of Students.

Rate of Pay: £12.91 per hour, plus holiday pay

To work as part of the Reception team to provide an excellent standard of customer service, creating a warm and friendly environment. You will be the first point of contact for students, visitors and staff to the Guild; referring people appropriately, giving directions, taking deliveries and answering queries.

This role offers you a range of opportunities to gain skills and experience including (not exclusively):

  • Customer service skills
  • Working as part of a team
  • Handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Event and conference hosting skills

You will be required to work a minimum of 3 -16 hours per week. Please note that this position is only available to students studying at the University of Birmingham.

This position is only available to students studying at the University of Birmingham until at least July 2027.
