Student Staff – Catering Assistant

Rate of Pay: £12.21 per hour, plus holiday pay

This role involves working as part of the Catering team in the Venues food areas, contributing to a positive and productive atmosphere, following legal, Guild and brand standards with regards to environment, food storage, preparation and production.

This role offers you a range of opportunities to gain skills and experience including (not exclusively):

• Customer service skills
• Experience of working within a busy venues kitchen environment
• Working within food safety regulations

Hours: Venues Catering Assistants are required to work up to 16 hours per week during term time. This role will involve working day, evening and weekend shifts.

Training: Catering Assistants are required to complete mandatory online and in person paid training which must be completed by the end of May.

Availability: Catering Assistants must be available to work during the following dates:

• Graduation Ball
• Welcome Week (you will not be required every day, but please ensure that you are available to work during this week).

Please note that this position is only available to students studying at the University of Birmingham.
