Student Staff - Student Groups Assistant

Rate of Pay: £9.18 – 9.50 per hour, plus holiday pay

Please note that this position is only available to registered students studying at the University of Birmingham until at least June 2023.

This role involves working as part of the Student Groups team to provide an excellent standard of customer service, creating a friendly environment that student volunteers can turn to for support for their group’s activities. Facilitating a wide range of events through societies, associations, and sports clubs.

This role offers you a range of opportunities to gain skills and experience including (not exclusively):

  • Customer service skills
  • Assisting student groups with event planning, budgeting, promotion and relevant Guild policies
  • Financial procedures and cash handling

You will be required to work a minimum of six hours per week (during term-time). Usual working hours are between 9am and 6pm Monday-Friday, so the role requires reasonable daytime availability.
