Cleaning Supervisor

£25,809 gross per annum, 35.5 hours per week

This role is part of the Facilities department working collectively with colleagues delivering the Guild’s facilities, cleaning and room bookings work as part the Operations Directorate.

The role

The Cleaning Supervisor role is to support delivery of the Facilities departmental plan. We expect Supervisors to help to create an inclusive and engaging environment for all.

The role is required:

  • To support the Facilities Manager to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment in the Guild, including student spaces, our venue operations and franchises, offices, toilets and teaching & learning spaces
  • To carry out daily Health & Safety checks within the Guild
  • To ensure the effective administration of rotas and payroll for Facilities Student Staff.

Success in the role will require a highly student and customer focused approach together with an emphasis on teamwork. The role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a positive ambassador for the Guild and facilitating under-represented groups to find a comfortable place here. Supporting a culture of ambitious targets and a positive team spirit are also key. Supervisors are expected to follow the Guild’s competency framework, which should be read in conjunction with this job description.
